Hi Daniel! ah magic is a weird one. Some people attempt to do magic, but it’s usually an illusion that magicians manage to create with mirrors and trap doors, etc. They seem so real, and for good reasons, these magicians can practice their tricks for hours to years to perfect it. Check out David Copperfield’s work, he’s one of the greatest magicians of our time! He managed to make the Statue of Liberty disappear, he’s also managed to fly, as well as levitate over the Grand Canyon, and walked through the Great Wall of China! Now that’s an illusion.
      Great question!

Well, it depends on what you mean by magic I think! In the traditional sense….I suppose no is the correct answer! But if you mean in terms of illusions, slight of hand, creating amazing things – well then I think there are plenty of examples and science and illusion creating things that we perceive to be “magical”. What do you think?

That’s a deep question Daniel! It’s got my scratching my head here….
Well most magic is, like the girls have said, an illusion. A trick to hide what the magician is really doing.
Like most things in this world that we don’t understand, the easiest way of explaining it is say that it’s magic, or that God did it. Well, as scientists we believe that there is an explanation for everything. And just because we don’t understand it at the moment, it doesn’t mean that it’s magic. We just don’t know enough about it yet!
There are so many things we don’t understand in this world still. It would be pretty boring if we understood everything though right!? Where’s the fun in that!?
