Well the human race is already like Harry Potter in many ways – we are try to be good friends to each other, like Harry, Ron and Hermione,; we know the importance of going to school and learning about our world, and we also know the importance of standing up to ideas or people that are wrong and causing damage to our world.

But if you’re talking about using a magic wand, maybe we’re not there yet!

That’s really interesting question and got me thinking about evolution in general. If we were to develop any new skills in the future (magic for example!) we would have to keep evolving. Some people think that humans are no longer evolving because we can control so many aspects of our lives. We could begin changing ourselves right now with modern medicine, but we have to ask ourselves whether it is right to do so.
The first step would be to invent flying brooms I suppose! That way we Irish would apparently be world champions in Quidditch!

That’s a really clever question! I wish we were all like Harry Potter – I can think of some fun things I would do with my magic. In some ways I like to think that we re getting there, especially with science. We re finding cures for cancer, we re building cars that can drive and park themselves, we re finding ways of communicating with animals, breathing underwater (through SCUBA), and flying! we can fly (in planes though)! I think that’s all pretty magical 🙂 Great question! Thanks 🙂
