Whilst there hasn’t been any proof of other life forms like humans or animals on other planets, life could potentially be found in the universe, if there was a planet similar to Earth. But if life was found on another planet, it would most likely be in the form of bacteria, which were the first life form to grow on Earth in the beginning of time.

Think about the chances of life evolving on only one planet. There are literally billions of galaxies. And in them there are millions of stars. And around them are thousands of planets. Some of them are highly likely to have conditions that allow life to evolve and survive. So I would say almost definitely, but it’s probably VERY different to what we think life it. There is growing evidence to suggest that life may have been possible on Mars in the distant past , for example. But it’s waaaay too cold for that there now….

I agree with Shane! About 8.8 billion stars in our galaxy have planets that are nearly the size of Earth and also have a surface temperatures that can support life. So it’s highly likely that there s life on other planets 🙂 or even their moons. For example, Mars spins around our sun and it has earth-like properties, so it’s the most likely candidate for life on another planet in our galaxy. Hope that helps!

Not that we know, there are indication of water on Mars, and perhaps simpler forms of life could have been developed on it. However it is possible that on other planets in other solar systems life could have developed. My feeling, and I have no proofs!, is that if life developed on other planets should be similar to the earth ones, that is based on carbon.
